The Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Agriculture held the opening of The 5th FAAS Summer Program with the theme Post Pandemic Agriculture Perspective, Monday (1/8).
In his speech, Prof. Dr. Ir. Bambang Waluyo Hadi Eko Prasetyo, M.S., M.Agr., IPU. as the dean of FPP said that based on the rankings from the QS World University Rankings, FPP Undip managed to rank 400+ in the world in the agricultural sector and its graduates quickly found jobs. Meanwhile, this summer program is one of the most valuable gems in the university crown which is part of helping to build and develop Undip into an international university, pluralistic in terms of language, culture, and views.
“This activity aims to foster understanding and dialogue among people, as well as educate people to become global netizens. The theme of the summer program focuses on Post Pandemic Agriculture Perspective, besides that in this activity we will also learn about language and culture in Indonesia,” he said.
On the occasion, Anggun Puspitarini Siswanto, S.T., Ph.D. as the Head of the International Office (IO) Undip warmly welcomes The 5th FAAS Summer Program FPP activity and hopes that this activity can enrich perspectives in understanding oneself and others, as well as the community.
“There were 174 participants from various countries, including from Indonesia, Timor Leste, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Pakistan, Nigeria, Rwanda, Kenya, Togo, India and so on. Even though this event was held virtually, I’m sure we all still get a lot of useful experience and knowledge. Enjoy the summer course, I wish us all success with this program,” he concluded.
