Semarang, 25 April 2025 – The Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Science, Diponegoro University, hosted a workshop titled “Manuscript Clinic: Empowers Final-Year Students in Academic Writing” on Friday, 25 April 2025. The workshop was attended by final-year undergraduate and postgraduate students to enhance their skills in academic writing and scientific publication. The event is part of the Postdoctoral Domestic Assistance Program, a prestigious initiative supported by the World Class University (WCU) Program and funded by the Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP). This program was awarded to drh. Siti Susanti, Ph.D., as the person-in-charge from the Food Technology Study Program at Diponegoro University, in collaboration with Dr. Yunan Kholifatuddin Sya’di, S.TP., M.Sc., a postdoctoral researcher from the Food Technology Department at Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang.

During the workshop, Dr. Yunan presented a practical approach to writing academic manuscripts start from finding ideas until submitting to the international journal. His presentation covered key elements of the research and writing process, from literature review, hypothesis building, drafting, to submission. The session also featured live demonstrations on prompt engineering and journal selection tools, giving students firsthand experience on how to optimize their writing workflow.

This initiative reflects the strong collaboration between UNDIP and UNIMUS in building a research-oriented academic environment. The workshop is expected to improve the publication readiness of student manuscripts and contribute to the broader vision of enhancing Indonesia’s global research visibility. Participants expressed enthusiasm for the session, citing the hands-on guidance as highly relevant and useful. One of the students shared, “I feel more confident now in preparing my thesis and targeting a reputable journal. The tools and tips provided today were eye-opening.”

This workshop represents a concrete step toward transforming research culture in higher education. The organizing team encourages students and educators to continue exploring innovative methods that support scientific productivity and global competitiveness.
