Universitas Diponegoro held a socialization event for the Erasmus Find4S program at Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 (Untag) on Tuesday (February 11), located on the 2nd floor of the Untag library. This socialization event is part of a series of marathon activities across various universities that are members of the Find4S consortium, aiming to introduce and strengthen higher education capacity in Indonesia within the framework of data-driven sustainable food systems. The Find4S program (Enhancing Higher Education Capacity for Sustainable Data-Driven Food Systems in Indonesia) is a three-year collaborative initiative led by UNDIP. This program focuses on three main aspects: higher education, sustainable food systems, and data. In the context of food technology, data science plays a dominant role in developing data-driven innovations and solutions for food security.

The socialization event at Untag was attended by various university officials, including the dean and representatives from Untag’s international office. Meanwhile, the Find4S team from UNDIP present at the event included Dr. Yoga Pratama, Dr. Abduh, and Dr. Al-Baarri. They presented various activities to be carried out within the program, including planning, inter-institutional coordination, and project progress reporting. Additionally, the program encompasses various initiatives such as benchmarking to enhance faculty capacity, knowledge sharing both online and offline, and resource sharing among partner institutions. One of the key upcoming agendas is a visit to KU Leuven, Belgium, in May 2025, as well as a European consortium visit to Indonesia for direct knowledge exchange.

In terms of human resource development, Find4S includes needs assessment, training for lecturers and administrative staff, and curriculum updates to ensure that higher education systems can accommodate advances in science and technology in the food sector. The program also emphasizes environmental perspectives through the development of eco-friendly programs, the construction of research facilities, and the establishment of the Center for Food Sustainability Research. Furthermore, data science is a key focus of the program, promoting the integration of data science in food systems to improve efficiency and food security.

To ensure the program’s effectiveness, Find4S also prioritizes monitoring and evaluation, including quality assurance and the collection of implementation evidence. Communication strategies and program development are also key focuses to enhance the visibility and impact of this initiative. This socialization event is expected to provide partner universities with a broader understanding of the importance of strengthening data-driven sustainable food systems. Through this program, it is hoped that academic and research capacity in the food sector will continue to grow and contribute to addressing food challenges at both national and global levels. As the leader of the Find4S consortium, UNDIP continues to optimize collaboration with various parties to ensure the success of this program.
