Semarang, March 24, 2025 – The Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences (FPP), Diponegoro University (UNDIP), hosted an international guest lecture as part of its World Class University (WCU) Program. The event featured a distinguished speaker, Dr. Gyula Kasza, PhD, Head of the Department of Applied Food Science at the University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest, who delivered an insightful presentation titled “Food Safety Risk Communication.”
In his presentation, Dr. Kasza discussed effective strategies for communicating risk to ensure consumer food safety. He emphasized how scientific, data-driven approaches are applied across Europe to transparently convey food-related risks and highlighted the critical role of public engagement in maintaining a safe and sustainable food chain.
Dr. Kasza is a prominent expert in food safety, risk communication, and consumer behavior. He previously served as Deputy Director at the National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) in Hungary and actively contributes to international platforms such as the European Consumer Food Waste Forum and the Hungarian Society of Nutrition.
This guest lecture is part of UNDIP’s ongoing commitment to enhancing international academic collaboration and knowledge exchange.
