Semarang, Indonesia — July 9, 2025 — The Department of Agriculture, Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences (FPP), Universitas Diponegoro (Undip), has once again successfully launched its flagship international academic program: the 7th Summer Course Program under the theme “Exploring Indonesian Community Service, Tourism, and Agriculture.” This month-long program, held from July 7 to August 7, 2025, is part of the World Class University (WCU) Program funding initiative by Universitas Diponegoro, aimed at strengthening international networks and enhancing global competitiveness.

In his opening remarks, Prof. Agus Setiadi, Ph.D, Vice Dean for Resources at FPP Undip, emphasized the importance of the summer course as a platform not only for discussing sustainable agriculture, food technology, and agricultural innovation, but also for uniting participants from diverse cultural backgrounds in the spirit of global collaboration.

“This year, the summer course brings together speakers from various countries, including Indonesia, the United States, Norway, and Japan, offering insights into fascinating and relevant topics,” said Prof. Agus Setiadi, Ph.D.

The program is organized by the Department of Agriculture, FPP Undip, under the leadership of Dr. Al-Baarri, S.Pt., M.P., with Muthia Auralia, M.Sc. from the Agribusiness Study Program serving as the event coordinator. This year’s summer course successfully attracted 62 participants representing 9 countries, including Indonesia, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, the Philippines, Pakistan, Malaysia, Egypt, India, and Sri Lanka.

As the WCU fund manager at FPP Undip, Yoga Pratama, S.TP., M.Sc., Ph.D. expressed hope that the program would bring tangible benefits to all participants and pave the way for future academic collaborations and global engagement.
