A scientific consortium led by Diponegoro University, along with Universitas Semarang, Universitas Nasional Karang Turi, Universitas Tidar, Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang, Universitas 17 Agustus Semarang, Universitas PGRI Semarang, and several European universities (Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, University College Dublin, Universidade Católica Portuguesa, and Hochschule Anhalt), has launched a three-year collaborative program. This program is divided into four quarters, with the primary goal of improving accreditation and academic capacity.
Key activities within this program include training, curriculum enhancement, establishment of research centers, and increasing visibility through social media and websites.
One of the significant achievements expected from this initiative is the enhancement of Research and Development (R&D) qualifications at each university and the introduction of new sustainability-focused courses. The program also aims to improve accreditation, create new courses, and establish consortium research centers.
Additionally, the consortium plans to upgrade educational equipment. Public communication efforts include social media management and website development at each university. UNDIP will also launch a dedicated website to support the project. Meanwhile, Universitas Semarang will host the International Conference on Sustainable Engineering, Green Construction, Urban Studies, Agriculture, and Food Resilience on October 29, 2024, which will also serve as a platform for project-related poster presentations.
This collaborative program is expected to significantly improve academic quality across the participating Indonesian universities while strengthening partnerships with European educational institutions.
